How to Install Windows 11 Moment 3 Update and Unlock New Features

You can now download and install the Windows 11 Moment 3 (22H2) feature update through Windows Update and the Microsoft Update Catalog.

With Windows 11, Microsoft moved to a major feature update per year, but the company wants to keep excitement around its operating system. Microsoft now offers a new preview feature update called "Moment 3," available to eligible PCs running Windows 11 22H2.

Moments are optional cumulative updates, including features or enhancements, that will be shipped with Microsoft's July Patch Tuesday update. With Moment updates, Microsoft aims to provide new features and minor improvements outside the annual release. As the update is a "cumulative/monthly update," it doesn't have an official name.

It's known as KB5026446 and can be downloaded like any other update, but you need to activate an optional switch to access new features.

Install Moment 3 Update in Windows 11 22H2

To install the Windows 11 Moment 3 update, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Windows Update.
3. Click on "Check for Updates“.
4. Click on the download and install button next to the optional update.
5. Restart your device.
6. Go to Settings > System > About and make sure your build number version is 22621.1778/22H2 or later.
7. Go back to the Windows Update page.
8. Next to "Get the latest updates when available," switch the toggle to On
