At Computex 2023, Cougar unveiled several new gaming chairs, with the most exciting being the Cougar NxSys Aero, which features a 200mm aRGB cooling fan. However, it’s important to note that the cooling of the NxSys Aero targets the back of the user, so those with a hot seat may need to look elsewhere for relief.
As the Northern Hemisphere is starting to heat up, devices that keep the user comfortable are becoming just as important as those that keep the PC cool. Cougar claims that the chair's cooling will help users remain "comfortable and focused for hours and hours."
In addition to the 200mm aRGB fan section on the chair's back, dubbed "Cold Fusion," Cougar has implemented complementary technologies to keep the back cool and comfortable during even the toughest PC gaming sessions. Its "Air Bender" system reportedly uses hollow spaces in the elastomeric mesh, along with a ventilated rear cover, to provide adaptable cushioning. The explanation suggests that 'Air Bender' creates an air cushion between your back and the chair material. This is quite remarkable, but it could easily be too cold or uncomfortable. Some third-party testing is needed to verify this feature.
