Windows 11 Insider Build 22631.1825 Released for Beta Channel and Another Canary Channel Build, 25375
Microsoft is adding a Beta Channel build to the mix with the release of Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel (23466) from yesterday, with the release of Build 22631.1825. Although this version doesn't contain many new features, it moves the build numbers from the cadence 22624 to a new series beginning with 22631. The "new features turned off by default" version, 22621.1825, remains at the lower tier, but for the first time in quite a while, the "new feature implementation" level has gone up a few notches.
These new releases include a number of new fixes for both varieties, including a new item:
- New! This update provides the total storage capacity of all your OneDrive subscriptions. It also displays the total storage on the Accounts page of the Settings app.
Be sure to check out the Windows Insider blog post for all the details.
Along with these Beta Channel builds, Microsoft has released the second Canary Channel build this week, this time it's 25375. This build includes a new feature, Microsoft Endpoint DLP support on Windows on Arm (Arm64):
You can now extend Microsoft Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and actions to endpoints running Windows on Arm (Arm64), allowing you to detect and protect sensitive data in files that are part of your digital ecosystem. This allows you to introduce policy controls for scenarios like when an information worker using a Windows endpoint with Arm chips does not access sensitive files and tries an exit action, such as copying to a USB memory stick or copying to the clipboard, notepad, etc.
You can read more about the Canary Channel in the Windows Insider blog post, be sure to check it out.
